Privacy Policy
Scope and our role
ThinLedge Innovations Ltd ("ThinLedge," "we," "us," or "our") uses technology responsibly and respects your right to privacy. This Privacy Statement describes how we collect, use, share, and process personal information through our services — including our websites, mobile apps, ThinkLedger platform, and related interactions (the "Services"). It applies globally to ThinLedge products and services. Supplemental statements may apply to specific offerings. We act as the data controller (or equivalent under applicable laws) when we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal information.
Information you provide
- Contact and account data: When you or your organization create an account or use our platforms, we may collect name, company name, business registration number, tax identification number, billing or mailing addresses, phone number, email address, profile photo, payment information, purchase history, preferences, subscription details, username, and account credentials.
- Identity verification: For tasks such as tax filing or account security, we may collect name, date of birth, government-issued ID details, and similar data as permitted by law.
ID card verification
Where we offer ID card verification, we collect only the minimum necessary: the full name and ID number you enter, and a scan or image of your ID (e.g. Ghana Card or equivalent). Data is used solely to validate that entered details align with the submitted ID for registration or onboarding accuracy. Scans are held temporarily and then deleted; matched data is retained only as part of your profile. We do not use this data for marketing or share it with third parties. We implement encryption, access controls, and comply with applicable data protection law (e.g. Ghana's Data Protection Act, Act 843).
How we use your information
We use your information to provide, operate, and improve our services; to personalize your experience; to comply with legal obligations; and to communicate with you in line with your preferences. We limit personal data use to what is necessary for these purposes and do not use it for marketing or third-party sharing without your consent where required by law.
Data security
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest where applicable.
- We use access controls and audit practices appropriate for financial and personal data.
- We follow industry practices and applicable regulations for data protection.
Your rights and controls
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
